A new Independent poll conducted by SEA Polling & Strategic Design is showing that former Miami Beach Mayor Philip Levine holds a double digit lead over his Democratic opponents, and this comes when absentee voting is set to start in less than two months.
In a poll of 600 likely voters, Levine had 32 percent support. Former congresswoman Gwen Graham came in second place with 16 percent. Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum came in third place with 11 percent. Businessman Chris King came in fourth place with 6 percent, and the newly entered millionaire Jeff Greene came in last place with 4 percent in support.Tom Eldon, a veteran pollster, explained that “It looks like from Miami Beach to Palm Beach, Levine is beginning to lock down South Florida. That’s going to force some very difficult decisions on his opponents.”
Levine was the first to enter the airwaves by releasing advertisements, and it seems that it’s worked to his advantage. The rest of the candidates followed, but Greene recently entered and it seems he’s off to a slow start in gaining support, which will likely not pick up the way he’d like it to.

At once, former Congresswoman Graham was considered the frontrunner, but it seems the tide has changed.
