Pride month is here & Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz is happy to celebrate.
One of the many things that makes the United States of America the best country in the world is our acceptance and tolerance towards people of different backgrounds, religions, ethnic groups, and sexual orientations. In this day and age, marriage equality is law of the land & LGBT individuals can serve openly in our military. The LGBT community has come a long way and Pride Month is the time to celebrate. In an email blast, Congresswoman Wasserman Schultz talks about mourning the tragic PULSE nightclub shooting. She then states, “In our tumultuous political climate, it is incredibly important to affirm protections for our LGBT friends and family. Under the Trump Administration, protections for LGBT individuals have been weakened. The Commerce Department tried to remove mention of gender and sexuality from its equal opportunity employment statement. Trump’s executive order on ‘religious liberty’ walks back the promise of equal justice and liberty for all Americans.”
Congresswoman Wasserman Schultz later proceeds to say that, “Everyone deserves to live a life free from persecution and discrimination. That’s why I’m proud to co-sponsor the Equality Act, a bill which would guarantee federal protections for LGBT individuals in many areas. It’s time the Trump Administration and its Republican allies in Congress got on board.”
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
