Republican congressional candidate, Attorney Mary Thomas, who is locked in a contentious primary race against Dr. Neal Dunn to replace outgoing Congresswoman Gwen Graham (D) in Florida’s 2nd congressional district, has just a campaign confidence boost from Governor Rick Scott.
During a closed-door meeting with The Club for Growth, the conservative fundraising heavyweight group that has endorsed Thomas, Scott made the following gleaming statement about his former employee”“Mary came aboard with me right after I got elected back in 2010 and worked in my general counsel office, and to give her bragging rights, everything she touched, it worked…So thank you for helping her, and hopefully she has a big win.” Scott told the group of conservative activists and donors gathered in West Palm Beach for the February event.”-Gov. Rick Scott (Politico)
The remark was made at the group’s annual meeting in Palm Beach, Florida this past February.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
Of course, this is not a formal endorsement of Thomas by Scott, as his office will tell you as much.
Thomas recently announced the endorsement of another conservative group, Citizen’s United, as well as the support of several of the Florida Legislature’s top conservative members, including Rep. Mike Hill.
