I highly doubt Senator Marco Rubio will take any hair grooming tips from him, but he will take his endorsement.
Rubio will be chalked up what is considered to be a major endorsement to his 2016 presidential campaign, as popular South Carolina Congressman Trey Gowdy (pictured) is expected to give Rubio a full-throated support this week in Iowa.Team Rubio put out this statement from Gowdy:
“Marco is a rock solid conservative and a strong leader we can trust. I look forward to campaigning in Iowa with him, and introducing my good friend to voters across the state.”
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
Rubio is hoping Gowdy’s popularity with Americans over his ongoing investigation into the Benghazi, Libya attack that left four Americans dead, will boost his chances in Iowa, and possibly put him over the top in South Carolina.
South Carolina is crucial for all the 2016 GOP presidential candidates, as it is the “First in the South” primary state (February 20), and could set the tone for March’s “Super Tuesday” election day.
The RealClearPolitics.com average of polls show Rubio being crushed in Iowa. Sen. Ted Cruz and Donald Trump are at 31%, while Rubio is at 12%.In New Hampshire, Rubio (12.8%) is in second place behind Trump (26.5%), but is in a virtual dead-heat with New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and Senator Cruz (Both with 11.5%).
As far as how he is currently doing in South Carolina, Rubio is third (12.7%) behind Cruz (19.3%) and Trump (33.7%)
Gowdy has by far the best hair cut of any male member of the U.S. House of Representatives. Just have to put that out there.
