Back in February 2011, while attending the annual Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), some guy by the name of Ted Cruz sought me out through his amigo and Campaign Manager, John Drogin, and asked if I would take the time to video interview him for his the upstart Senate campaign.
That was the year I won the CPAC Blogger of the Year award, so they knew who I was, and followed what I did the year before for Senator Marco Rubio in Florida.I told Drogin, “Heck” why not.
Aside from the obvious change in hairstyles, Cruz’s principles and convictions stayed consistent over the past 4 years.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
He spoke about his family, railed against the “establishment,” and told me that he was running for the U.S. Senate because he wanted to “fight to insure we don’t lose our freedom.”
Oh, and he also stated that President Obama was the ” most radical president to ever occupy the White House,” and that we (the country) were in the ” epic battle of our generation.”
Watch this great video of Ted Cruz.
