Most members of the U.S. Congress, including those from both the liberal and conservative wings of their respective political parties, have taken a position in support of, or against President Obama’s potential war against Syria.

Florida Congressman Patrick Murphy (D) is taking the careful approach on whether or not he will support the President’s call to bomb Syria. Murphy told the Palm Beach Post that his position on U.S. Military action against Syria is “undecided.”

Murphy said he has participated via phone in secure-line conference calls with Secretary of State John Kerry, Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Gen. Martin Dempsey and National Security Adviser Susan Rice. Murphy said he’s also spoken with Rep. Ted Deutch, D-Boca Raton, who supports of military action, and Rep. Tom Rooney, R-Okeechobee, who opposes U.S. involvement.

The bipartisan Foreign Relations Committee in the Senate voted 10-7 in favor of military action against Syria.
