Ashley Moody has just released her first advertisement of the general election. In the 30-second advertisement titled The Job Sirens, she differentiates herself from her Democratic opponent, Sean Shaw, but pointing out that she has more prosecuting experience than him.
Her message stresses the law enforcement duties that the attorney general’s office must overlook, and she also points out her background in fighting crime as both a prosecutor and circuit court judge. In the advertisement, Moody explains that “Florida’s Attorney General handles thousands of cases. The job needs a prosecutor, not a politician.” She adds that “As a prosecutor I took criminals down. As a judge, I locked them up.”
And, Moody makes the claim that “My opponent, Sean Shaw, never prosecuted a case. His first one shouldn’t be as Attorney General.”

However, this week, a poll conducted by the Florida Chamber of Commerce, showed that Shaw was ahead of Moody 35 to 33 and 20% of polled people undecided.
