Republican gubernatorial nominee Ron DeSantis makes a great point at the expense of his Democratic rival Andrew Gillum.
Gillum’s very own former Chief of Staff Dustin Daniels, who is running Mayor of Tallahassee.Daniels sent out two campaign mail pieces pointing to the uptick in violent crimes throughout the city.
“Tallahassee had the highest number of murders in history last year and we top the state for the highest crime rate,” read one of the mail pieces. “We must do better.”
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
The assertion by Daniels is a sharp contrast to what Gillum has been saying. According to the POLITICO, Gillum told the Tallahassee Democrat newspaper that crime in the city was “at its lowest level since 2013.”
Yikes!“Crime in Tallahassee is at its lowest level since 2013, and our city continues to get safer every day…We will maintain a focus on investing in our human services, ensuring good jobs are available in our community, and providing our police with the resources they need to fight and continue this positive momentum.”-Andrew Gillum
Maybe Daniels and Gillum should have compared notes prior to election season?
Even @AndrewGillum’s own allies know that murder and crime rates have skyrocketed since he’s been mayor. If he can’t keep the citizens of Tallahassee safe, there’s no way he’s fit to govern our state. https://t.co/eZ9NB0ryYe
