In a newly released 30-second advertisement titled Honored, Florida Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam makes it clear that he supports “President Trump’s agenda,” which is “Tax cuts to create jobs and cracking down on illegal immigration.” However, Putnam also asserts that “Florida’s not picking an Apprentice. We’re electing a Governor.”
He explains that “I’ve dedicated my life to making our state a better place. As your Governor, we’ll make Florida the launchpad for the American Dream. Creating new opportunities for the next generation, keeping our promises to veterans, and protecting all the things that make Florida, Florida.”He highlights the Florida First agenda that his campaign has been running on, and it’s an agenda he feels Congressman DeSantis is not focused on.
Earlier this month while attending the Wausau Possum Festival, he detailed that “I care more about this county than I do about Washington, D.C. And I think that’s what the next Governor needs to be focused on,” adding that DeSantis has a “a fly-in, fly-out strategy with a D.C. entourage.”

He asserts that “It’s not real Florida. It’s not Florida focused.”
This advertisement comes as Congressman DeSantis surges in the polls, but Commissioner Putnam doesn’t seem to be worried about that.
In an interview with The News Service of Florida, Commissioner Putnam assured that “Working families are my people. They are my base. They are our grassroots energy. They are the reason why we are going to win.”The advertisement can be seen below:
