Governor Scott’s support of implementing congressional term-limits is known, and now he’s tying Senator Bill Nelson to the algae blooms that are negatively affecting Florida’s coasts and Lake Okeechobee. He argues that Senator Nelson’s act of being a career politician has largely contributed to the problem.
In the 30-second advertisement titled More Waiting, More Talk, More Algae, the advertisement points out that “Experts agree: Washington controls the dike at Lake O, so they have to fix it. And so we wait for Washington.”It goes on to explain that “Washington politician Bill Nelson made a pledge 30 years ago to solve this problem, but Nelson’s a talker, not a doer. With Bill Nelson, we get more waiting, more talk, and more algae.”
In addition to the argument made, the Governor’s approval notice at the end of the advertisement includes him saying “I don’t wait for Washington.”
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
Also, the Governor noted that Senator Bill Nelson did not support a single bill that would benefit the Everglades, and he also commented that Senator Nelson has not been able to get any legislation approved that would help restore the Everglades.
