Ay Caramba! Latinos estan apoyando un Republicano sobre un Democrata.
For those of you not privy to knowing the Spanish language, I will translate for you.‘Hispanics are supporting a Republican over a Democrat’ in Florida’s U.S. Senate race.
Gov. Rick Scott is enjoying a small but very telling 3-point lead over Sen. Bill Nelson with Hispanics this election cycle.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
According to the latest Telemundo 51 sponsored Mason-Dixon public opinion poll, Scott leads Nelson among Hispanics by a margin of 42-39 percent. Yikes!
POLITICO reported this:
Mason-Dixon pollster Brad Coker said the survey is bad news for a Democrat who needs solid Hispanic support statewide. Echoing criticisms from Democratic consultants and Latino activists, Coker said Nelson is to blame for not tending to this growing constituency over his three terms in office.“It’s typical Nelson,” Coker said. “He goes to Washington and he more or less blends in for five years; you don’t hear much from him. And then comes back a year, or a year-and-a-half before the election and he starts putting his coalition together. He has been able to get away with that because he has had historically weak opponents. Not now.”
This news is much worse for Nelson, as Scott is crushing him among Puerto Rican voters.
The survey follows a poll last month that showed Puerto Rican voters in Florida knew and liked Scott better than Nelson — by a 21 percentage-point margin — even though 57 percent of the sample was Democratic.
To his credit, Nelson has been sporting his political guayabera shirt of late, and making the effort to win over Puerto Rican voters, but apparently, his efforts are falling on deaf ears.
