Senator Marco Rubio has endorsed Matt Caldwell in his efforts to replace Florida Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam, who’s currently running a bid to become Florida’s next Governor.
In a statement, Senator Rubio explained his endorsement by saying that Caldwell is more conservative than Denise Grimsley. He detailed that “As the most conservative candidate in the race for commissioner of agriculture, Matt Caldwell has been an unwavering supporter of the Second Amendment, consistently voted to cut taxes and reduce the size of government, and is a staunch supporter of the right-to-life. There is no harder working or more qualified candidate in the race for commissioner of agriculture and I urge all Floridians to vote for Matt Caldwell this August and November.”
In response to the endorsement, Caldwell said that he was “proud to have Senator Rubio’s endorsement. In the race for commissioner of agriculture, I am working from the winning playbook of Senator Marco Rubio in 2010 when he was the underdog candidate and won because he was the most conservative and the hardest working.”
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
Caldwell also took time to hit his opponent by adding that he has “never voted against our Second Amendment rights, to expand Obamacare in Florida, or to raise taxes on hard working Florida families. As the true conservative candidate in the race, I am battle-tested and ready to stand on principle for Florida’s families.”
