Florida Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam, also a candidate for the upcoming Florida gubernatorial race, is blasting fellow Republican and opponent Ron DeSantis for not understanding Florida too well. In a recent comment, Putnam explained that “Floridians want a Governor who knows Florida best, who’s always going to put Florida first and is running a grassroots campaign.” This was in response to a question about DeSantis and the fact that President Donald Trump endorsed him for Florida Governor.
Putnam also added that, in his rallies, “I do see a lot of MAGA hats at my rallies,” pointing out that Trump supporters also seem to be supporting him as well.He went on to detail that as far as the race is concerned, “I think people can draw their own conclusions, but there’s no question that I’m the candidate who knows Florida best, knows the nuance of different regions of our state, what the problems are and how to solve those problems.”
And he’s highlighting these issues in his campaign and for his supporters because “It’s too late after you’re elected to have to have a get-up-to-speed lesson on the diversity of our state. And I don’t need a GPS to get around Florida.”
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
Finally, he pointed out that “It’s important, if you want to be the CEO of Florida, that you know the organization that you need to run.”
