The federal government shutdown is over and both political parties are trying to position themselves as being the winner in all of this.

Most pundits and talking heads will tell you that Democrats got the short end of the stick, but if immigration reform, or at the very least DACA isn’t addressed, could the shutdown turn out to be a great big Republican #fail?

Yes, tax reform is helping Republicans mitigate any momentum and possible mid-term against Democrats are expected to obtain, but will it be enough to counter a failure to pass bipartisan DACA legislation, opening door once again for Democrats to label Republicans as racists?

Wait, Democrats will probably still be calling the GOP racist, but it begs to ask, who comes out smelly rosey at the end of the day?
