The 2008 DEA operation, Project Cassandra, was set up to keep tabs on the Islamic terrorist group Hezbollah’s criminal dealings.
Unfortunately for the Drug enforcement officials, it appears as if the Obama administration impeded in the investigation into the terrorist group to facilitate a the controversial Iran nuclear deal.President Obama and his State Department have had a long history of negotiating with terrorism, so the allegations of working directly or indirectly with Hezbollah, should not be news to anyone.
Florida Congressman Ron DeSantis (R) and Ohio Congressman Jim Jordan (R) have launched an investigation into the allegations made against Obama, and have asked Attorney General Jeff Sessions to furnish all “documents or communications relating to interference with law enforcement efforts against Hezbollah” by January 8, 2018.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
“Hezbollah is a brutal terrorist group and it would be unconscionable for American policy to deliberately empower such a nefarious organization,” DeSantis said. “Allegations that the Obama Administration purposefully undermined law enforcement efforts against Hezbollah in order to save the disastrous Iran Deal need to be swiftly and fully investigated by Congress.”
Jordan said, “The allegations that Obama’s DOJ possibly halted the wheels of justice for the sake of an illegal deal cementing his political legacy is both unnerving and unacceptable. We need answers.”
