Remember this past Sunday night when the lights went out in Georgia? Well, the lights only went out at Hartsfield-Jackson International just outside of Atlanta, the world’s busiest airport.
Aside from the obvious news stories written about the crippling power outage, hardly any media outlets reported that in response to the black out, Chick-Fil-A stores that are usually closed on Sundays, opened to help feed stranded passengers.Local Chick-Fil-A stores absorbed the costs and gave out free chicken nibblets. Yum!
Kudos to Chick-Fil-A for feeding passengers, and to the Atlanta Airport authority for acknowledging the Good Samaritan action.
LIGHTS ON and delivering food and water to our passengers! Thank you @dancathy with @ChickfilA for opening on a SUNDAY! #ChristmasMiracle pic.twitter.com/0PlSxHIWj5
