It’s hard to believe that almost one year ago, Hillary Clinton, the Democrat’s heir apparent tot he presidency, lost to President Donald Trump in a historic general election that saw quite a few blue states turn red.
Well, believe it, but don’t expect stalwart Democrats like Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz to not remind you of the loss at ever turn in the political road.Wasserman Schultz recently penned and sent a Halloween fundraising email ask to her supporters, reminding them that since taking office, Boogeyman Trump has attack health insurance, discriminated against minorities and the gay community, and has tweeted or stated “countless rants against our fundamental rights as Americans.”
This is the email:
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
It’s been a long, long year for us.
We’re coming up on one year since Election Day. President Trump has put us through a lot since then — attacks on health insurance, discrimination against minorities and the LGBTQ community, countless rants against our fundamental rights as Americans.
And the sad truth is, this is just the beginning. We’ve come this far together. We can get through the rest the same way. And I’m sorry to bother you on Halloween, but this couldn’t wait.
I needed to let you know we’re still about $213 away from our October goal, with the deadline coming up in 4 hours. We cannot fall short.

Thank you.
DebbieThis is politics, plain and simple. These kind of fundraising asks, which are solely aimed to rile up respective bases of support, are par for the course for both political parties.
Expect to see many more of these type of ‘doom and gloom’ fundraising letter in the very near future, especially with the Christmas and Chanukah just right around the corner.
Don’t be surprised to see Trump be accused of cutting Santa Claus’s social security benefits.
It will probably happen.
