The circus is in town!
Actually, the political circus better known as the Broward Republican Executive Committee (BREC), with all its clowns and clapping seals, has been on a 6-year act of dirty political scheming and backstabbing, as well as embarrassing acts of shameless self-promotion by some of its ilk.The latest embarrassing feather in the BREC’s cap was this past week’s attempted ousting of Chairman Bob Sutton by the Antifa element with in the local GOP led by claw-hammering Secretary Rupert Tarsey, Treasurer Kevin Moot, and a few other bitter, disgruntled, petulant, and food-deprived individuals.
The move to boot Sutton failed. Yes, this group that has showed nothing less than utter failed leadership since 2011, again failed in their feeble attempt at a power grab.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
Republican Party of Florida Chairman Blaise Ingoglia dispatched his parliamentarian, Polk County GOP Chairman J.C. Martin to the meeting to over see the shenanigans.
Martin immediately rained on Tarsey(pictured) and his group’s Not-Just-For-Men ‘combover’ circus act, shutting down the meeting due to its illegality.
“On behalf of the RPOF, this meeting is not a legal meeting. No Republican business will be transacted here today…This is a blatant case of an illegal meeting. Mr. Chairman, close this down.”-Parliamentarian J.C. Martin
And there you have it.
Another example of failed leadership by the same cast of characters that continue to promote intra-party division for sheer political expediency.
BREC member Clarence McKee couldn’t have said it any better when he told the Sun-Sentinel that Moot’s and Tarsey’s actions were “ridiculous, debilitating, and makes them all laughing stocks.”
But being seen as laughing stalks is nothing new for the local GOP. Throughout the state, the Broward GOP is the butt of the jokes because of the actions of one or two of its members seeking to climb up the Republican ladder.
Over the years, that political ladder has been slide-tackled from underneath these clowns. Now the focus will be on the upcoming State Committeewoman and National Committeewoman races. Michelle Merrell, who is running on the state level with ties to the three ring Broward GOP circus that just tried to oust Sutton.
***Update—Michelle Merrell and Karen Giorno are threatening legal action because their names were mentioned in this story.
Michelle Merrell does have ties to some of these shady characters, as well as to other not-so-shady ones. Karen Giorno told me that she only had a slight inconsequential tie with one of these suspected individuals, that is why we deleted here name from the the original story.
Apparently some people have very thin skin or insecurities they have to deal with. These two individuals were mentioned because of their involvement in the upcoming elections, nothing more. Deal with it.
Maybe the Palm Beach REC needs to hold a How-To class and invite the Broward friends?
