President Trump is not accustomed to losing, but on Tuesday night, the president lost in Alabama’s Republican Senatorial run-off race between former Judge Roy Moore and Sen. Luther Strange.
Moore, who is seen a traditional Conservative, soundly beat Strange by a margin of 55-45 percent.‘Strange-ly’ enough, Strange, who was appointed to his post after Sen. Jeff Sessions was tapped U.S. Attorney General, received the full-throated endorsements from both President Trump and Vice President Mike Pence.
Why is this so ‘strange’?
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
Senator Strange was the incumbent and GOP establishment’s pick in the race. While everyone from Sen. John McCain and Leader Mitch McConnell backed his play, Conservatives looked right through his thin vail of moderatism,
Trump’s former advisor Steve Bannon, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, House Conservatives and the Senate Conservatives Fund, all stood behind Judge Moore’s candidacy.
During his acceptance speech, Moore uttered a few words that undoubtedly unhinged many liberal Democrats around the country, especially those in the U.S. Congress. We have to return the knowledge of God and the Constitution of the United States to the United States Congress.” –Judge Roy Moore
Moore is expected to win December’s Senate general election against Democrat and former Clinton Administration lawyer, Doug Jones.
