After it was discovered that Donald Trump Jr and Jared Kushner, both advisors to President Trump, met with a Russian attorney during the 2016 presidential campaign, Democrats are now saying “I told you so,” and asking for Kushner’s head to be delivered to them on a silver plater.

Florida Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D) has been leading the effort to have Kushner’s security clearance revoked, telling he constituents that the Trump advisor is a risk to national security.

Wasserman Schultz is now pushing an online petition to have Kushner’s “security clearance” revoked.

Here is the campaign email where she makes her case:

It’s very simple, friend.

If you are the target of a criminal investigation for collluding with a hostile foreign power, you cannot be trusted with sensitive information.

Jared Kushner has no business accessing secret information and advising the President and the White House on international affairs.

He had no problem attending a meeting where Trump campaign officials were eager to accept the help of Russia to influence the 2016 Presidential election. Therefore he should have no problem getting his security clearance revoked as a consequence.

Demand that happen by signing your name.

Naturally, Kushner failed to report this meeting as well as dozens of others with foreign officials on his security clearance form. In addition, he was reportedly involved in trying to setup a private back channel with Russia during Trump’s transition.

Everyone should be concerned that Kushner continues to have access to sensitive information and briefings. This is a matter of national security and Republicans are refusing to take any action on the matter.

We need to keep pushing — call on the White House to revoke Jared Kushner’s security clearance IMMEDIATELY.
