With the American Health Care Act (AHCA) having passed in the House, and now heading over in the Senate for scrutiny, Democrats are railing about how “Trumpcare” may not cover pre-existing medical conditions.
One of the loudest opponents of President Trump’s entire agenda is Florida Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D)Wasserman Schultz recently tweeted her concern over the possibility that preexisting conditions will not be covered under the new “repeal and replace” healthcare bill.
Despite Trump’s promises, TrumpCare would allow insurers to discriminate against Americans with pre-existing conditions. I'll #voteNO pic.twitter.com/HZIChC7pPa

Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
The new proposed Obamacare replacement bill does cover pre-existing conditions, but it could appear to allow healthcare insurance companies to hike up premiums if an individual with those conditions allows their coverage to lapse.
Insurance companies would be allowed to tack on a surcharge for individual preexisting conditions like Asthma, mental issues, Diabetes, etc. This means that depending how much it has cost to treat the condition in the past, the surcharges would reflect the cost of the treatment.
In other words, the more the condition costs to treat, the higher the surcharge.
Ok, That is what could happen. But remember, the final agreed on bill that will reach the president’s desk has not been drafted yet.
The final bill will probably look much different than the House’s proposed plan.
