Corrine Brown is known for being abrasive and outspoken but on Friday she broke down while giving testimony in her federal fraud case while being cross examined by a prosecutor.
The prosecutor was asking her about cash taken from a charity for poor kids which was deposited into her personal account as reported by the Orlando Sentinel. It was said Brown stated “they’re trying to destroy my life” as jurors left the courtroom after she asked for a break because she was upset.
As we reported prior, Brown is facing fraud charges for her role in One Door for Education. Prosecutors are saying it was a fake charity and the majority of money was being deposited directly in her account.

She has since plead not guilty and blames her former chief of staff Elias “Ronnie” Simmons for taking advantage of her and for stealing.
Simmons testified Brown knew about the deposits of money and even instructed him to give her money in cash at times.
The jury will hear closing arguments in the case on Monday.
