After President Trump’s inauguration, a women’s march was held on Washington to protest his inauguration and to support abortion rights among other issues. The marches branched across the United States and also to other countries.

Today, the yearly held March for Life is taking the streets of Washington as a response to the women’s march and to oppose legalized abortion. President Donald Trump has echoed their concerns and Vice President Mike Pence will be making history as the first Vice President to speak at the march and Trump’s advisor Kellyanne Conway is also scheduled to speak. In addition, a pro life feminist group that was shunned from the women’s march will also be in attendance.

Jeanne Mancini, March for Life’s President, said in response to the women’s march that “I think we’re a pretty different march – we’re a one-issue march.”

President Trump also slammed the media in an interview with ABC over their failure to cover the March for Life and the interviewer was left scrambling for words.

The anti-abortion group New Wave Feminists  were removed as partners of the women’s march after being asked to join by organizers and the organizers released a statement saying that their march’s “platform is pro-choice and that has been our stance from day one.” This brought up questions over whether or not feminists can be anti-abortion and what the goals of feminism are in this new era.
