During the 2016 presidential primary campaign, conservatives around the country worried that if Hillary Clinton were to be elected president, she would appoint a liberal-minded judge to the U.S. Supreme Court who was cut from the same cloth as Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg.
Because of his past support for abortion and his middle-0f-the road-leaning political views, Conservatives and Republicans were also skiddish about who Donald Trump would pick to replace the recently deceased Justice Antonin Scalia, if he was elected president. To his credit, Trump was smart enough to come out and announce a list of potential SCOTUS pick, helping him qualm any and all reservations pro-life and pro-Constitution Conservatives had about who he might appoint to the highest court in the land.
President Trump has announced that he will be picking his choice to replace Scalia next week.

Trump has narrowed his search down to three judges: Neil Gorsuch of the appeals court in Denver, William Pryor of the appeals court in Atlanta, and Thomas Hardiman of the appeals court in Pittsburgh.
All three men appear to have many similarities to Scalia, so the Republican masses should be happy with whomever Trump decides on.
