The Trump transition team announced today that Kellyanne Conway, Trump’s campaign manager, would join the administration as the counselor to the President.
They released a statement saying that Kellyanne would “continue her role as a close advisor to the president and will work with senior leadership to effectively message and execute the Administration’s legislative priorities and actions.”President-elect Trump also praised Kellyanne Conway by saying that she “has been a trusted advisor and strategist who played a crucial role in my victory. She is a tireless and tenacious advocate of my agenda and has amazing insights on how to effectively communicate our message. I am pleased that she will be part of my senior team in the West Wing.”
Conway was grateful in her response statement and said that she wanted to “thank the President-elect for this amazing opportunity. A Trump presidency will bring real change to Washington and to Americans across this great nation. I am humbled and honored to play a role in helping transform the movement he has led into a real agenda of action and results.”

In the announcement, the team also took a jab at Hillary Clinton’s “glass ceiling” motif in her speeches because Kellyanne Conway became the first female in the history of Presidential elections to successfully manage a winning Presidential campaign; thus, the transition team mentioned that Trump’s campaign “shattered the glass ceiling for women.”
