After losing two straight races for elected office, Florida’s political chameleon, Republican-turned-Independent-turned-Democrat Charlie Crist has defeated Rep. David Jolly (R).
This race was downright ugly.In the end, Jolly lost because he didn’t have the funds to win. Jolly’s campaign tactic to file legislation (STOP ACT) keeping members of Congress from asking voters and supporters for money, probably did him in.
We, I, have been very critical of Crist since he first decided to run for the U.S. Senate in 201o, especially after he jumped ship and became an Independent. Crist and I have had our difference, and I have called him out on his flip-flopping. Now that he was won, let’s see how he does in Washington, D.C.

Hopefully Charlie will follow Jolly’s lead and take a more moderate approach to voting.
