The Democratic heirarchy in Washington, D.C., who is backing former Rep. Joe Garcia, are sounding pretty desperate these days in their efforts to take down Republican Congressman Carlos “El Caballo” Curbelo in Florida’s hotly contested 26th congressional district race.
(Speaker Paul Ryan recently referred to Curbelo as a workhorse, so I am just nicknamed him “El Caballo.”)The lead attack for Democrats is to use this election cycle’s political boogey man, Donald Trump, against Curbelo.
Curbelo has stated that he does not support, nor will be vote for Donald Trump in next month’s general election. But with this said, it hasn’t stopped Democrats from trying to link him to the GOP presidential nominee.

Who blames them? What is that old saying,” If you can’t beat your opponent on the issues, just make up some trivial, personal or inconsequential attack against him or her.”
The DCCC latest attack ad against Curbelo states that both Trump and Curbelo are in lock-step on the issues of immigration, Social Security, and offshore oil drilling.
“Curbelo supports drilling offshore — just like Trump,” the ad says. “Curbelo’s been sending campaign cash to help anti-immigrant politicians…. Carlos Curbelo calls Social Security a ‘Ponzi scheme.’ You know who else says that? Donald Trump.”
The ad is a mash-up of past DCCC Curbelo ads, including one PolitiFact Florida found misleading on the oil-drilling claim. Curbelo asked TV stations to yank the ad as a result.-Patricia Mazzei, Miami Herald
On immigration reform, both Curbelo and Garcia are seen as proponents for amnesty for illegal immigrants. Garcia wants to open the flood gates, while Curbelo seems to want to allow a gradual and measure flow of immigrants into the country. That is how these two are perceived.

Trump is known for his potty mouth, but Garcia is known for his potty brain.While Trump will say he would just grab a woman, Garcia would actually go out and express his “love” by buying them a sex toy, or two.
