Russia has been heavily discussed in this election cycle. Today, officials from the Czech Republic have confirmed that a Russian citizen has been arrested under suspicion of hacking targets in the United States.
The suspect’s name has not been released. As reported by Politico, Czech Republic officials collaborated with the FBI and were running under a “red notice” from Interpol, which signals for people who are wanted for extradition.
Without resisting arrest, the suspect was arrested at a central Prague hotel, and authorities said the suspect was actually arrested on October 5th, but the information was delayed because of “tactical reasons.”

The Obama administration has claimed that Russia is behind the recent series of hacks that included internal DNC emails being released that led to DNC chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s resignation and the recent leaked emails from Clinton’s campaign chairman John Podesta. The hacks are accused of being perpetrated to influence the upcoming Presidential election between Hillary Clinton (D) and Donald Trump (R), but Russia has denied the claims and a spokesman for the Russian embassy disregarded the claims as “another piece of nonsense!”
