Florida’s de-facto Drug Czar, Attorney General Pam Bondi, has signed her 137th emergency order banning another form of synthetic drugs in the state. The order came at press conference she held at the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, an was to take effect at 5pm on Wednesday.
Bondi who has built here legacy around fighting the human trafficking pandemic, shutting done “pill mills,” and going above and beyond to ban addictive opiods.The latest drug to fall victim to Bondi’s wrath is U-47700, aka “Pinky,” a drug that was smuggled in from China, and is 7.5 times stronger than Morphine has already been outlawed in several other states.
According to Florida law, if anyone is caught with the drug in their possession, they could be found guilty of a third-degree felony which could land them in prison for up to five years.

Bondi has been under immense media scrutiny of late over an alleged $25,000 pay-for-pay donation here 2012 campaign received from now-Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.
Early in this year’s GOP presidential primary race, Bondi to a big gamble and backed Trump over fellow Floridians Senator Marco Rubio and former Governor Jeb Bush. Bondi has campaigned with Trump throughout the state, raising her profile, and possibly putting her in contention to be the next U.S. Attorney General, if Trump defeats Hillary Clinton.
Sticking her neck out in a contested Republican presidential primary race is nothing new to Bondi. Back in 2012, when she and others state Attorney Generals led the charge against Obamacare, Bondi decided to put her name behind Mitt Romney’s presidential campiagn.If Donald Trump wins the presidency and doesn’t choose her to be the next U.S. Attorney General, Bondi, who has unprecedented statewide name recognition, will have many political options to choose from, including a possible run for the U.S. Senate in 2018 against Democratic Senator Bill Nelson.
