Things are getting heated in Duval County and they are expected to only get worse.
On Tuesday, the chairman of the Duval County School Board confirmed a letter released asked Superintendent Nikolai Vitti to “use your talents elsewhere” as reported by News4Jax.Ashley Smith Juarez wrote the following to Vitti:
The current results and the future projections do not meet my expectations of a superintendent. You have not come forward with a plan to accelerate improvement, nor have you incorporated the suggestions of the board. When we last spoke, you told me, again, that you could do no better for the children. With regret that we were at impasse, I privately, professionally and with no malice, asked that you use your talents elsewhere.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
The school board will be holding a joint meeting with the Jacksonville City Council on Wednesday.
Smith Juarez also called a special meeting at 10:30 a.m. on Friday to “deliberate a path forward that is best for children.”
Vitti has said he has no plans on resigning.
