A big hat-tip to Team USA’s hockey coach John Tortorella for putting his players on notice about possibly trying to sit during the national anthem at next month’s World Cup of Hockey.
“If any of my players sit on the bench for the national anthem, they will sit there the rest of the game.”-John Tortorella
Let’s hope he follows through with his threat, if an incident does occur.
Remember, this all started when San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, a Muslim-convert and all-of-a-sudden Black Lives Matter supporter, refused to stand for the national anthem a couple weeks back in protest of all the so-called crimes being committed against blacks by police.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
Now more professional players are following Kaepernick’s lead, but this smells to me as just their attempt to garner much needed media attention.
I am sure that the mothers and grandmothers of these athletes, and athletes like them, are available to give them that much-needed hug. If not, one of those strippers they probably know very well will surely give them a nice big hug for $20 a song.
For those of you (overwhelming majority of Americans) who do stand for the national anthem, you don’t have to wait for this weeks games to listen to it.Here is Whitney Houstons’ epic rendition of the Star Spangled Banner
