Former Secret Service Agent Dan Bongino has scored another big endorsement, this one coming from Texas Senator Ted Cruz.

Here is what Cruz said:

Dan spent his life in public service, first as a police officer, and then as an agent in the United States Secret Service. There’s no doubt in my mind that in our nation’s capital Dan would be a relentless advocate for and defender of our Constitution — just as he has been his entire life.

I hope Floridians will join me in supporting Dan Bongino!

Cruz’s endorsement comes a bit too late, as polls indicate that Bongino lags in third place behind former Ambassador Francis Rooney  and Chauncey Goss.

Bongino had a very short period of time to mount an effected grassroots campaign in this particular congressional primary race. You either had to have significant local name identification, or loads of cash to win this race.

Francis has the cash, Goss had the name recognition because he ran in the district once before.
