Rep. Patrick Murphy (D), who is running for the U.S. Senate in Florida and prides himself in stating that he is a pro-Choice, may have been an abortionist in another lifetime.
Murphy says he has been consistent when it comes to voting in the U.S. House of Representatives. Yes, the junior congressman, who is in a contested Democratic primary race against ultra-liberal Congressman Alan Grayson, has consistently voted against life. While Grayson’s senate campaign is all-but dead in the water, Murphy’s is not, and he is expected to win the primary race and go on to face pro-Life Republican Senator Marco Rubio in the November general election.
In case you are wondering what Rubio thinks about Murphy, well, here is just a snippet of what runs through his mind when asked about Patrick Murphy:
Democrats, including the hardcore pro-Abortion faction of Democratic Party, which include Reps. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Nancy Pelosi, Lois Frankel, as well as Vice President Joe Biden and President Barack Obama, have all given Murphy a full-throated endorsement of his senate campaign.take our poll - story continues belowDo you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)

He’s not a guy that you can see his campaign, he barely does events, he kind of just is phoning it in, and I think he feels entitled to it.
“Number 2, he’s a very privileged guy. His whole life his family has provided for him. He’s never had to worry a single moment of his life about how to pay his bills or where his next money is going to come from. His dad, in fact, gave him $5 million dollars after he was elected to Congress.“And the third thing is, if you look at his voting record it’s atrocious. Yesterday we get the news that all these people are being released from Guantanamo and he supports all that, closing Guantanamo. He supports the Iran deal. Yesterday he said Hillary Clinton is someone who is trustworthy. …”

Biden has campaigned with Murphy in Florida and Obama as promoted the “strong progressor” in a campaign video ad where he says that as president, he has been able to count on Murphy to protect a woman’s “right to choose.”
Even some national pro-abortion groups like NARAL and Planned Parenthood Action Fund have endorsed Murphy.
But while no one is questioning Murphy’s pro-choice bona fides, especially considering that he has voted against every bill presented to him that is remotely pro-Life, or has voted in favor of any bill that was pro-Choice, did you know that Murphy co-sponsored legislation that supported late-term abortions?
Just last year, Murphy even took to the House floor to denounce pro-Life legislation, asking that Republicans focus on the “economy” and not on “bills that divide this House and this country.”
And then there is the hypocrisy.
Back on November 11, 2013, a “divisive” H.R. 3471 was co-sponsored by Rep. Murphy (D) and introduced to make it “unlawful” for government to ban late-term, or partial-birth abortions.
Here is how the bill reads:
SEC. 4. PROHIBITED MEASURES AND ACTIONS.
(a) General Prohibitions.—The following limitations or requirements are unlawful and shall not be imposed or applied by any government because they single out the provision of abortion services for restrictions that are more burdensome than those restrictions imposed on medically comparable procedures, they do not significantly advance women’s health or the safety of abortion services, and they make abortion services more difficult to access:(1) A requirement that a medical professional perform specific tests or follow specific medical procedures in connection with the provision of an abortion, unless generally required for the provision of medically comparable procedures.
(2) A limitation on an abortion provider’s ability to delegate tasks, other than a limitation generally applicable to providers of medically comparable procedures.
(3) A limitation on an abortion provider’s ability to prescribe or dispense drugs based on her or his good-faith medical judgment, other than a limitation generally applicable to the medical profession.
(4) A limitation on an abortion provider’s ability to provide abortion services via telemedicine, other than a limitation generally applicable to the provision of medical services via telemedicine.
(5) A requirement or limitation concerning the physical plant, equipment, staffing, or hospital transfer arrangements of facilities where abortions are performed, or the credentials or hospital privileges or status of personnel at such facilities, that is not imposed on facilities or the personnel of facilities where medically comparable procedures are performed.(6) A requirement that, prior to obtaining an abortion, a woman make one or more medically unnecessary visits to the provider of abortion services or to any individual or entity that does not provide abortion services.
(7) A requirement or limitation that prohibits or restricts medical training for abortion procedures, other than a requirement or limitation generally applicable to medical training for medically comparable procedures.
This bill, which Republicans have called “Roe vs. Wade on steroids,” has yet to be voted on, and would surely be defeated in the House. The Senate version of this bill, would most likely be defeated as well.
