33,614 Floridians Cast Ballots In First 2 Days Of Early Voting

While early voting has just began in many Florida counties, 33,614 ballots were cast in the first two days where early voting has started in advance of the August 30 primary elections as reported by News4Jax.

The early-voting option allows people to fill out the ballots at designated polling locations and it is mandated statewide from August 20 through August 27 but county supervisors of elections have the discretion to begin sooner. On Monday twenty-four counties started early voting. They were Duval, Baker, Bradford and Flagler. Voting begins in Putnam County on Wednesday.

Statewide, 701,886 vote-by-mail ballots were received by Tuesday afternoon. While more Republicans have voted by mail (48 percent Republican, 38 percent Democrat), more Democrats have voted in person (49 percent Democrat, 42 percent Republican).

All sites are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m, except for the Supervisor of Elections main office, which is open 8 a.m to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
