According to a new poll commissioned by the Remington Research Group based out of Kansas City, Missouri, Republican congressional candidate Francis Rooney is leading both Chauncey Goss and Dan Bongino by double-digits in their respective primary race in southwest Florida.
These poll results are enough to make political consultant quiver in their boots, that’s if the poll was an actual independent public opinion poll.Brian Crowley of the Crowley Political Report dug up the fact that Remington Research Group and Axiom Strategies are both owned by Francis Rooney’s campaign consultants, Jeff Roe.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
In other words, this poll is all-but an internal campaign poll. And even if the results were completely accurate, the poll will be dismissed as one conducted by Rooney, for Rooney.
Uh-oh.
Here are the results of the Remington poll:Francis Rooney: 45%
Chauncey Goss: 29%
Dan Bongino: 15%
Undecided: 11%
In total, $60,774 was paid out to Axiom Strategies from the Rooney campaign.
Thus far, there hasn’t been any independent polling done in this congressional primary race, and neither the Goss or Rooney campaigns will divulge any internal polling data.
Because both campaigns are so tight-lipped about how they doing in their respective internal campaign polls, it is probably safe to assume that Goss and Rooney are neck-and-neck.
This race will be decided on August 30, the date of the primary election.
