Both congressional candidate, Rep. Matt Gaetz and Okaloosa County Sheriff, Larry Ashley, believe that the “Black Lives Matter” movement should be considered domestic terrorists.

Gaetz, who is running for the U.S. Congress in Florida’s 1st congressional district stated the following on his Facebook wall:

Much like the radical Islamic group ISIS has done in calling for the murder of anyone that does not believe in their ludicrous ideology, “Black Lives Matter” has calls for the killing of law enforcement who they deem to be racist against the black race.

Here is what we recently wrote about the prospect that Black Lives Matter could be designated as either a terrorist or hate group by the federal government after a formal petition to do so was submitted:

Terrorism is defined as “the use of violence and intimidation in pursuit of political aims”. This definition is the same definition used to declare ISIS and other groups, as terrorist organizations. Black Lives Matter has earned this title due to its actions in Ferguson, Baltimore, and even at a Bernie Sanders rally, as well as all over the United States and Canada. It is time for the pentagon to be consistent in its actions – and just as they rightfully declared ISIS a terror group, they must declare Black Lives Matter a terror group – on the grounds of principle, integrity, morality, and safety.-The petition

In an official response to the petition, President Obama’s White House said that it “plays no role in designating domestic terror organizations,” adding that government “does not generate a list of domestic terror organizations.”
This is true. Not even the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) formulates a list of domestic terror groups. The FBI does however have a list of “White Hate Groups,” which includes the Klu Klux Klan.

So, if the government won’t label “Black Lives Matter” as a terror group, will the Obama administration go as far as to label them a black hate group?
