Every since he supported and co-sponsored the ill-fated “Gang of 6” immigration reform bill in the U.S. Senate, Senator Marco Rubio’s popularity around the state of Florida with the Republican electorate has taken a nose-dive.
Rubio’s run for president this year ended with a resounding loss in his home state of Florida to now-Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump. But now Rubio is running for reelection to the U.S. Senate (he must first get past his primary election), and while there are those out there that still say they will not support Rubio because of his past position on immigration reform, those disgruntled GOP voters (many, if not most of them being Trump supporters) may have to suck it up and vote for him.
If Donald Trump stands a chance to win Florida, and ultimately the presidency, those anti-Rubio voters need to come around and support the Miami native.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
Both the Donald Trump and Marco Rubio campaigns are inextricably tied together.
Trump needs Rubio to carry Miami-Dade County for him, and to persuade those #neverTrump voters to plug their noses and vote for him. Rubio needs Trump to turn out many Republicans and Independents that would have normally stayed home on election night, in order to win reelection to the U.S. Senate.
Will you support Senator Rubio’s reelection bid? Take the poll.
