During a conference call with supporters and donors earlier this week, Senator Marco Rubio asked those on the call not nominate him for president from the floor of the national convention in Cleveland, Ohio.
Rubio made the plea after one woman stated that she would nominate him instead of the presumptive GOP presidential nominee, Donald Trump.Earlier today Rubio confirmed to the Shark Tank via telephone that he indeed told those on the call, and has been telling supporters not to nominate him from the convention floor, and that he was “focused on the Senate race” he was currently running.

Rubio emphasized that if Republicans take the nomination away from Trump at the convention, many of his supporters could possibly stay home, or worse, retaliate and not support senatorial and congressional candidates that make up the undercard ballot of their respective states.
