Florida Senator Marco Rubio is skipping the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Ohio, but his colleague in the Senate, Senator Ted Cruz, has accepted an invitation from Donald Trump himself to speak at the event.
In a closed-door meeting in Washington, D.C. between the two men, Cruz spokeswoman Catherine Frazier said that Cruz said “he would be happy to do so” when Trump asked him if he would speak at the convention.Frazier added that Trump has asked Cruz to lend him advise choosing any future judicial nominees, if he becomes president.
“Mr. Trump also asked Sen. Cruz for his counsel on future judicial nominations, and Cruz responded he would continue to do everything he can to help ensure principled constitutionalists on the courts.”-Catherine Frazier (Blaze)
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
Let me just say this.
Ted Cruz would make a fantastic Supreme Court justice.
With the passing of conservative Justice Antonin Scalia, the next president will be tasked to nominate his replacement.Trump would score huge brownie points with conservatives around the country if nominated Ted Cruz, who is by far the smartest guy in any room.
Remember, Cruz knows his way around SCOTUS. He did argue numerous cases in front of the court as Texas’ solicitor general.
