Florida Governor Rick Scott has taken up the potential roll of kingmaker in Florida’s 19th congressional district by endorsing former Ambassador Francis Rooney in his Republican primary race.
Rooney’s press team has announced that Scott will appear with Rooney at a July 15 event in Naples, Florida. This is a rare move for Scott as he normally doesn’t dabble in contested primary races, but something tells me that this endorsement is based on deep roots these two men have cultivated over that past six years.
Rooney is being challenged by conservatives Chauncey Goss, and consummate politician, Dan Bongino, who moved from Maryland last year to run for Congress onĀ Florida’s Treasure Coast.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
The seat is being vacated by freshman Congressman Curt Clawson, who announced he would not seek re-election because of his father’s ailing health.
