The Zumwalt family in Florida has long military history of decorated service, including three members having received the Bronze Star medal.
The fourth Zumwalt to receive the for “exceptionally meritorious service” is James E. Zumwalt, who received the honor after his 2010 service in Iraq with the Navy’s explosive ordinance disposal (EOD) unit. The younger Zumwalt is now running for Congress in Florida’s 1st congressional district, the seat that Rep. Jeff Miller (R) currently holds, but is vacating.
Miller has decided to step down from Congress, causing a vacuum of sorts in the Republican-leaning seat situated in Florida’s Panhandle.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
But while the married and self-described “Conservative Republican” runs for Congress on his military service, Zumwalt may wind up “blowing” his chances at winning this congressional seat because of his frat boyish past antics.
Everyone has something in their past they are not proud of, but one should have better judgment when deciding to put on one of these costumes. Can anyone remember when Mike Dukakis put on that military helmet, or when John Kerry decided he wanted to play Astronaut?
These images were on Zumwalt’s Facebook page that has since been scrubbed.
