Donald Trump surrogate Dr. Ben Carson has openly stated that Marco Rubio is one of five potential vice presidential candidates that “The Donald” is considering as his running mate.
Carson was wrong.Rubio is not up for consideration, as the Trump took to Twitter to make it crystal clear that Rubio is not on the short list, or on the long list of possible running mates.
The @washingtonpost report on potential VP candidates is wrong. Marco Rubio and most others mentioned are NOT under consideration.

Rubio of course has been distancing himself from Trump:
