For the first time in her political career, Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D) is facing a tough and legitimate primary challenge from college professor Tim Canova.
Canova has been able to amass close to $1million in small campaign dollar donations, as well as garner some union support, not to mention being able to grab much needed free earned media attention that all candidate salivate for.Wasserman Schultz, who also heads the Democratic National Committee (DNC), appeared on MSNBC to speak to host Steve Kornacki, where she was pressed to answer whether or not she would debate Canova.
She dodged the question, answering, “I’ve answered your questions.”

Kornacki pressed, “Hold on now, you’re a candidate for re-election. I think it’s a legitimate question.”

And making sure, as DNC Chair, I help do everything we can to elect Democratic president. Those are my two responsibilities.”
