Earlier this week, Republicans made the Democratic Party case that the entire GOP is filled with women-hating sexists.
Well, in all fairness, it was only one Republican clown that did so, and his name is Bob Sutton, the leader of the Broward County Republican Executive Committee.Sutton made remark in discussing his view on how well he thought Donald Trump would do against Hillary Clinton in a head-to-head (no pun intended, well maybe just a little one was intended) debate between the two.
Here is what Sutton said to the Washington Post after his group’s monthly meeting held earlier this past week:
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
“I think when Donald Trump debates Hillary Clinton she’s going to go down like Monica Lewinsky.”-Bob Sutton
Yeah, we all know what happened between Lewinsky and “Bubba” Clinton, we all get the humor, but c’mon.
Sutton went on to apologize for everyone he “may have offended,” but the damage was done.Sutton continued his damage control:
“In an effort to show my enthusiasm for defeating Hillary Clinton this November, I made a statement that was both unnecessary and inappropriate. I sincerely apologize for anyone that I may have offended. I look forward to returning to talking about the issues facing our nation.”
And of course the Democratic Party is calling for Sutton’s immediate resignation.
Enter Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, who has been the most vocal Democratic politico in calling all Republicans as racists, sexists, devils, aliens, you name it, she’s called them that.
Trump’s “ugly, misogynistic and divisive rhetoric is now giving the GOP permission to be derogatory and hateful.”Wasserman Schultz famously used similar divisive language to denounce then-congressional candidate Allen West for occasionally writing op-eds in Wheels on the Road magazine, saying that West “thinks it’s OK to objectify and denigrate women.”
