Governor Rick Scott took to social media on Wednesday to urge everyone to stop the so-called “Stop Trump” campaign within the Republican party.
On Facebook Scott wrote:It’s time for the ‘Stop Trump’ movement to end. (Tuesday’s) election results show that the anti-Trump efforts didn’t work.
GOP front-runner Donald Trump won five states on Tuesday including Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Rhode Island.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
Scott also urged Republicans to unite:
Scott said the anti-Trump campaigns only will benefit Hillary Clinton’s campaign.Donald Trump is going to be our nominee, and he is going to be on the ballot as the Republican candidate for president. The Republican leaders in Washington did not choose him, but the Republican voters across America did choose him. The voters have spoken.
The damage that President Obama has done to our country is serious and substantial. We cannot afford another four years of liberal incompetence, and that is exactly what Hillary Clinton would bring.
In closing Scott said all Republicans should turn their focus on November and help Trump defeat Clinton.
