Angela Corey (R) made history this week by securing her spot on the ballot with a staggering 7,788 certified petitions, according to the Florida Division of Elections.
With thousands of candidates campaigning for office throughout Florida, the total amount of signatures verified by election officials for Corey’s campaign was the highest number of petitions recorded this year by any candidate for office in the state. In surpassing the benchmark of 7,441 required petitions, the achievement was reached ahead of the schedule.
On the heels of Super Tuesday, when over 1,200 voters signed Corey’s petitions at polling locations throughout Duval, Clay and Nassau counties, the one-day deluge of presidential primary voters pushed the signature county beyond campaign expectations.

In addition to the Republican State Attorney’s far-reaching GOP support base, this year’s campaign support runs even deeper throughout the electorate. With a combined total of 22,369 certified petitions aggregating all three election petition drives since her first election in 2008, Corey has again demonstrated her tremendous and far-reaching grassroots support throughout Northeast Florida.
Corey stated:
The enthusiasm of our volunteers, coupled with the steadfast resolve of local voters, helped us reach this historic achievement. I personally feel blessed to have this kind of support from involved residents.
I am thankful that families in Clay, Duval and Nassau Counties share our commitment to a judicial system rooted in justice, fairness and public safety priorities.
