Last night’s Republican presidential primary debate in Miami, Florida, was so boring that even the animated Donald Trump seemed to be falling asleep behind his podium.
Not really, but it was pretty dull.Yeah, sorry folks, no fireworks last night between the four remaining GOP presidential candidates.
There wasn’t a clear winner that came out of the debate, but because the usual political mudslinging between Trump, Cruz and Rubio failed generate, the candidates were able to put forth their views on the issues.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
For those viewers and voters who are sick of all the bad blood between the four, a boring debate was actually refreshing.
Rubio was able to offer substantive answers to the questions, as did Both Kasich and Cruz. Trump was very subdued and refrained from engaging the others, possibly telegraphing a new, more passive campaign strategy to win over those anti-Trump Republican voters.
The one-liner of the night came from Rubio when he took issue with Trump’s statement that “Islam hates us,” Rubio responded by saying this:“The problem is presidents can’t just say whatever they want,”…I’m not interested in being politically correct. … I’m interested in being correct.”
But with a great campaign performance at his back, was it enough to sway enough Republicans to vote for him over Donald Trump in next week’s Florida primary election?
Trump is beating Rubio in all the polls, buts like I said before, Floridians have been casting their votes for over two weeks now, and Rubio could very well have the advantage over Trump.
Again, until the last votes are counted on election night, Florida’s 99 winner-take-all delegates are up in the air, regardless of what any public opinion poll says.
The way the delegate count is stacking up, it appears as if both Cruz and Trump are correct in their assessment that they are only two of the four candidates that have a pathway to victory in the GOP presidential primary race.
