With Florida’s winner-take-all primary just days away, Donald Trump is not taking any chances with Rubio possibly stealing the state away from him.
All of the most recent public opinion polls have Trump leading Rubio in Florida, and have Cruz gaining momentum.Trump just pushed out two attack ads against Rubio, the first hitting him on his past political relationships with former state Representatives David Rivera and Ralph Arza.
Rubio and Rivera are best amigos, this we all know.
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
It was only a matter of time when someone was going to inject Rivera in the race to hurt Rubio. If you ask anyone in Miami and Tallahassee politics about Rivera’s relationship with Rubio, they will tell you that Rubio is beholden to Rivera for helping him ascend in the world of politics.
It was Rivera who did the grunt work to help Rubio and many other politics climb up the political ladder, even as he is painted as the boogie man of Florida politics.
Arza, who is father to one of Rubio’s nephew’s wives, has also seen darker days.Arza withdrew from further reelection after being charged in 2006 with one felony count each of retaliating against and tampering with a witness. Contrary to the ad’s claim, he was not convicted but rather avoided a felony trial, after which he was sentenced to 18 months probation.–Politico
Here is Trump’s ad that features Arza and Rivera:

Here is that attack ad:

Rubio faces a tough road to the GOP presidential nomination, and could very well lose his home state of Florida to Trump and possibly lose a second place finish to Texas Senator Ted Cruz.
