If you do not remember anything else from Thursday’s debate you will remember Donald Trump is very sensitive about the size of his hands.
During the debate Trump assured American voters despite what Marco Rubio suggested, there was no problem with the size of his hands . . . or anything else.Trump said:
Look at those hands, are they small hands?
Do you think the 2nd Amendment will be destroyed by the Biden Administration?(2)
He then held up his hands to the camera for everyone to see and said:
Who ever thought a presidential race would include an argument about the size of a man’s . . . well, you know. And, he referred to my hands — ‘if they’re small, something else must be small.’ I guarantee you there’s no problem. I guarantee.
In recent days Rubio talked about a matter he knew Trump was very sensitive about: the size of his hands.
Rubio said:
He’s always calling me Little Marco. And I’ll admit he’s taller than me. He’s like 6’2, which is why I don’t understand why his hands are the size of someone who is 5’2 and you know what they say about men with small hands? You can’t trust them.
Apparently Donald Trump has been enduring hand insults for years. People have even went so far as to criticize his fingers.
Vanity Fair’s editor Graydon Carter stated last year:Just to drive him a little bit crazy, I took to referring to him as a ‘short-fingered vulgarian’ in the pages of Spy magazine. That was more than a quarter of a century ago.
It has been reported after those comments Donald Trump has been sending Carter pictures of his hands for 25 years.
Carter said Trump sends him packages with pictures of his hands. This is what he said about the latest package he received:
In the past Trump has also defended his hands in newspapers. On Page Six in 2011 Trump said:Like the other packages, this one included a circled hand and the words, also written in gold Sharpie: ‘See, not so short!’ I sent the picture back by return mail with a note attached, saying, ‘Actually quite short.’
My fingers are long and beautiful, as, it has been well documented, are various other parts of my body.
It seems like Trump is the classic example of “can dish it but can’t take it.” Apparently he can dish rude comments about other people but if you insult him expect to get gold sharpie notes for the next 20+ years.
