Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia believed in one thing wholeheartedly: the Constitution should be interpreted as its original meaning.
Some might think this is not a groundbreaking notion but liberal justices believe the Constitution is a living document and it can be amended and should be as the times change.Many conservatives are worried if President Obama is allowed to nominate a new judge he will put in another liberal and there will no longer be a balance in the Supreme Court. That is why others are arguing the new president should be allowed to appoint a new judge. It is the only chance they have to get another conservative.
To make matters worse, as we have seen recently the other “conservative” Supreme Court judge, John Roberts has made some less then conservative rulings in the last couple of years.

Unlike Roberts, Scalia always voted for the Constitution. Thus meaning if the Republican Senate allows Obama to select Scalia’s successor the left will have a complete monopoly on the Supreme Court.
If that happens the 2nd Amendment will most likely be dissected, religious freedom will be more in jeopardy, unions will be allowed to confiscate the dollars of people who disagree with them politically, the death penalty will be unconstitutional, and the liberals will use the Supreme Court to change the United States into what they believe it should be and not what the Constitution says it is.
